With the 2016 election, environmental legislation and practices began crumbling at an alarming rate. Climate change denial became rampant. The US involvement in the Paris Climate Accord dimmed. It was time to re-engage to help save the planet for future generations. Searching for inspiration to be part of the solution, I began experimenting with adobe soil from a neighborhood vineyard here in Sonoma. Politics of the moment and clay slip of adobe crystallized into a renewal of art-making with the earth in mind.
