A series of mixed media works that combines layers of soil on board surfaces with translucent acrylic paint.  Various nails and thumb tacks were hammered into the pieces forming random patterns and grids.  Inspired by the pandemic, circumstances out of control drove their development.  How to navigate and which pathway to take generated choices:  avoidance and/or often surprising positive connections on a journey through a historically dark time.
